On August 11, 2026, Cadillac introduced the Curated by Cadillac program for the electric Escalade IQ and extended-wheelbase Escalade IQL for the 2027 model year. This is neither a new trim level nor a power upgrade. Instead, buyers get a different way to order the vehicle, with a wider choice of colors and materials plus one-on-one guidance from a designer.
Not a configurator option, but a separate ordering process
Cadillac says Curated by Cadillac will be available for the 2027 Escalade IQ and IQL in extremely limited numbers. Rather than simply choosing an exterior color and interior, the customer works with a dealer and a personal Cadillac Design Concierge to select a combination of body color, trim, materials and accents.

The key difference with Curated is not additional equipment, but the depth of personalization. The brand refers to millions of possible combinations, but does not promise that every proposed specification can be ordered. The final selection depends on approval from Cadillac.
What buyers get for the extra cost
Automotive publications reporting the launch on August 11 put the package price at $54,995 on top of the vehicle's cost. According to Cadillac's official description, this covers an expanded palette, personalized guidance, hand-finished work at the factory, and warranty coverage for approved colors and trim solutions. It does not include new traction batteries, additional range or a more powerful powertrain.
What can be changed
The official Curated by Cadillac page lists more than 160 exterior shades, including solid colors, metallics, tintcoat finishes, three-layer gloss colors and matte frost variants. Each option is intended to be applied by hand by skilled specialists. That is significantly broader than the standard palette for the production SUV, although Cadillac has not yet published the specific color list for each market.

The interior offers an expanded palette of up to 44 colors. These can be combined across the three seating rows, center console and floor mats. In practice, this means buyers can do more than choose an upholstery color: they can create a unified interior scheme, such as separating the shades used on the front and rear rows or matching interior accents to the exterior.

Element | What Cadillac has confirmed | What has not yet been disclosed |
|---|---|---|
Exterior | More than 160 colors and several finish types, including matte frost variants | The full shade catalog and market availability |
Interior | Up to 44 colors for the seats, console and floor mats | All permitted combinations of materials and colors |
Ordering | Work with a dealer and Cadillac Design Concierge | Approval and production times for a specific vehicle |
Technical specifications | The program is announced for the 2027 Escalade IQ and IQL | Any technical changes resulting from Curated |
Why the warranty for custom finishing matters
Expensive personalization programs raise a practical question: who is responsible for a rare paint finish if something goes wrong? Cadillac says approved custom colors and finishes remain covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty. That sets Curated apart from work performed by an independent custom shop, where body repairs, color matching and warranty obligations may be divided among several companies.
Even so, the warranty does not turn the vehicle into an investment. A rare specification may appeal to the next owner, or it may narrow the pool of potential buyers. Cadillac does not claim that Curated will increase the Escalade IQ's residual value.

Where the program came from
The idea did not start with the Escalade. In August 2025, the brand launched Curated by Cadillac for the CT5-V Blackwing. Cadillac again offered more than 160 exterior colors, an expanded choice of finishes, concierge support and hand assembly. The approach is also similar to the ordering process for the electric Cadillac CELESTIQ, where each vehicle is created for a specific customer.
The Escalade IQ makes the approach less exclusive than CELESTIQ, but applies it to a large electric SUV. The model's core features, including its electric architecture, large display and driver-assistance systems, are unchanged by Curated. They should be checked separately on the official Escalade IQ page, because equipment varies by trim and market.

What this Escalade will actually cost
The $54,995 figure applies to the personalization program, not to the complete price of a 2027 Escalade IQ. Cadillac has not yet published the 2027 model year's base MSRP, the number of available slots or final delivery timelines on the Curated page. It would therefore be incorrect to add the fee to today's price for a standard Escalade IQ and present the result as the price of the future version.
According to automotive publications, production of the Curated Escalade IQ and IQL is expected to begin in the second half of 2027, with the United States and Canada as the first markets. There is no official confirmation of sales in other countries yet. For the Zvelta audience, this is primarily an example of how premium brands are bringing bespoke ordering practices from low-volume models to production electric vehicles.
The short version
Curated by Cadillac does not change the Escalade IQ mechanically. The program offers a rare specification, a role in creating it and factory accountability for the selected finish. For buyers satisfied with standard exterior colors and interiors, it adds little practical value. For customers who want an Escalade IQ with a distinctive combination of exterior and interior colors that is officially supported by the manufacturer, it is a clear alternative to aftermarket customization.
