Frequently asked questions
The BEV is fully electric, while the Hybrid EV is a plug-in series hybrid. Its electric motor drives the wheels, and a 1.5-litre petrol engine generates electricity. The Hybrid EV offers up to 145 km of WLTP electric range and up to 986 km including petrol.
The C10 Pro with the 69.9 kWh battery is quoted as charging from 30% to 80% in 24 minutes. Its maximum DC charging power increased from 84 to 120 kW.
The quotation should specify the MY27 model year, powertrain, BEV battery capacity and trim level. These details affect the charging speed, range, luggage capacity and interior equipment.
On 30 September 2026, Leapmotor introduced the updated C10 for model year MY27. The crossover gained wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, larger luggage compartments and additional driver-assistance systems. The electric version with a 69.9 kWh battery also received a higher fast-charging power rating. However, the changes vary by powertrain and trim level: the specifications of one C10 cannot automatically be applied to the entire range.
The manufacturer's European announcement describes three fully electric versions and a Hybrid EV with a petrol generator. On 7 October 2026, Leapmotor's Italian division reported that the local MY27 range was available from dealers. Here, therefore, “2027” refers to the model year: buyers did not have to wait until January for the updated car to arrive.
Four C10 Versions: Power and Range
The fully electric C10 is available with two battery options: 69.9 and 81.9 kWh. The entry-level Pro and ProMax RWD have rear-wheel drive, while the ProMax AWD uses two electric motors and all-wheel drive. The Hybrid EV uses a different powertrain layout: an electric drive is supported by a petrol generator.

Version | Power | WLTP range |
|---|---|---|
BEV Pro RWD, 69.9 kWh | 165 kW / 224 hp | 430 km electric range |
BEV ProMax RWD, 81.9 kWh | 220 kW / 299 hp | 519 km electric range |
BEV ProMax AWD, 81.9 kWh | 420 kW / 571 hp | 479 km electric range |
Hybrid EV / REEV | 162 kW / 220 hp | Up to 145 km electric range; up to 986 km including petrol |
The ProMax RWD accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, while the AWD version takes 5 seconds. Despite having the same stated battery capacity, the all-wheel-drive version has 40 km less WLTP range than the rear-wheel-drive model. This is a difference between official figures; actual range depends on speed, temperature, load and equipment.
Hybrid EV: Why Does an Electric Car Have a Petrol Engine?
The C10 Hybrid EV is a plug-in series hybrid, also referred to as a REEV. The electric motor drives the wheels, while a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine generates electricity. There is no mechanical connection between the internal-combustion engine and the wheels. Leapmotor describes this system in detail in its official technical material on the C10 Hybrid EV.

Why 986 km Cannot Be Compared Directly with 519 km
The Hybrid EV's 986 km is its total range using both electricity and petrol. The ProMax RWD's 519 km figure refers only to energy from the traction battery. To compare driving without starting the petrol generator, use the Hybrid EV's separate figure: up to 145 km WLTP.
What Has Changed in Charging?
The maximum DC charging power of the C10 Pro with a 69.9 kWh battery has increased from 84 to 120 kW. For this version, the manufacturer quotes 24 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%. This is a specific improvement for the entry-level electric version, not a single figure that applies to every C10 MY27.
What Do 24 Minutes at a Charging Station Mean?
The figure covers a 30–80% charge, not a full recharge. When comparing the C10 with another car, check the range used for the quoted result: a 10–80% time covers a longer charging interval. The peak rate of 120 kW also does not mean that the battery accepts this power throughout the entire session.
Both the BEV and Hybrid EV now have a light indicator behind the charging flap. White means that the cable is connected but charging has not started; flashing green means that energy is flowing; solid green indicates that charging is complete. Blue shows that scheduled charging is pending, while flashing blue indicates V2L operation, meaning that the vehicle is supplying power to external devices.
Inside: Smartphone Connectivity and Trim-Level Differences
The update introduces Leapmotor 3.5 electronic architecture and the LEAP OS 4.0 Plus multimedia system with a 14.6-inch screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now available. The voice assistant is claimed to understand context and multiple commands, as well as search for information through ChatGPT.

Russian is not included in the published list of voice-assistant languages. The list includes English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Arabic. Russian-speaking buyers should therefore check the interface language and available voice functions for the specific vehicle separately.
The European description continues to list the Life and Design trims. The Design version adds a frameless auto-dimming mirror, four-way electric adjustment for the driver's lumbar support and laminated acoustic front side windows. It is also distinguished externally by a front light strip. These features belong to the Design trim: the MY27 designation alone does not confirm that they are fitted.
The Luggage Compartments Are Larger, but They Differ between the BEV and Hybrid EV
The fully electric C10's rear luggage compartment has grown by 27 litres to 500 litres, or up to 1905 litres with the rear seats folded. The luggage floor can now be set at two heights: this allows the cargo area height to be increased or creates a separate storage compartment underneath. There is also a 30-litre front luggage compartment, for example for charging cables.
The Hybrid EV's rear luggage compartment has increased from 400 to 440 litres; with the seats folded, the quoted capacity is 1845 litres. When choosing between the two powertrains, cargo space is therefore another point to compare: in its standard configuration, the electric C10 offers 60 litres more.
New Assistance Systems: Help When Pulling Out and on Narrow Roads
The number of claimed driver-assistance functions has risen to 22. The five additions include automatic lane changes when conditions permit, a reminder when the vehicle ahead starts moving, a front cross-traffic warning and automatic braking when such a threat is detected.
The fifth function, SDIS, combines a surround-view system with front parking sensors for use on narrow roads. The updated sensor package consists of a front camera and five radars. Its most useful benefit is the ability to detect an obstacle earlier when reversing or driving forward out of a parking space with limited visibility.

When the Updated C10 Went on Sale and How to Read the Prices
In its Italian announcement dated 7 October 2026, Leapmotor confirmed that MY27 was available from local dealers. It listed prices starting at €42,900 for the electric C10 with the 81.9 kWh battery in Design trim, and from €38,400 for the Hybrid EV Life. These are reference prices for the Italian market on the publication date.
The same announcement lists a lower promotional price for the Hybrid EV Life, starting at €30,900. It reflects the total benefit available under the programme, including trading in or scrapping an old vehicle. The promotional “from” price must be read together with its conditions: it cannot be applied to every C10 or transferred to another market.
Before buying, it is useful to have the seller's quotation specify the MY27 model year, powertrain, BEV battery capacity and trim level. These four details determine whether you get the desired charging speed, range, luggage capacity and interior equipment.
